Right Rear Wheel Locks In Reverse
The title pretty much says it all.
I just purcahsed new rotors, calipers, pads, brake lines, and cables for my rear end. I went to install them today outside in a parking lot (unfortunately no garage for me) but the screws were so seized I couldn't get them off. I made plans to go to a friend's shop next week so we can work it out together with his tools. As I was backing my car in to my spot on the street I was almost in when something locked on my right rear wheel preventing me from going backwards. The left rear wheel tries to move but the right is locked solid. I am able to drive forward, just not in reverse. I jacked up that end to have a quick look and I can freely spin the wheel both ways.
More background information: The car currently runs like absolute slop (hard grinding from the rear while it's moving) because the original rotors, pads, lines, etc. are extremely worn out. I replaced the LSD over the winter with a used low-mileage one from a wrecked car so that should still be in good shape. The car is an 86 so it's 22 years old with 113K miles on it. The motor was swapped 50K miles ago. I believe (although I'm not 100%) that the tranny, clutch, etc. is still original. Those are on my to-do list for replacement but hopefully not for awhile when I can afford it.
Can anyone confirm or deny my hopes that the parts I'm about to replace will fix this problem? I'll definitely post an answer once I dive in next week and get this problem solved... I'm just trying to find out if I need to order anything before the scheduled fix next week, or note any spots I should check out between now and then that aren't what I've already listed.

To me it either sounds like a bad bearing or a bad rear-end!
I know you stated you got a new rearend over the winter, but that is what I would put my money on.
Why did you change out the rear-end?

Race_the_sun, I'd help you out/ let you use the RPI shop to get this sorted out if I were in Troy... but I'm out in Detroit... so I cant really help. Have you checked to see if the pads are locking up in reverse for some reason?

Yep, I went from a n/a lsd to a turbo one and sold the n/a to Nismonic. I originally changed my rear end because I needed a new driveshaft and decided I should continue the turbo conversion someone prior to me had already started.
A new LSD? Oh boy, I hope not. Is there any way to really test that besides just swapping it out? I'm hoping it's just my brakes locking in reverse or something seizing up in the parts I'm about to replace.
Nismonic - when are you back in Troy? there's a meet coming up on August 10th! whenever you return we'll have to do something cool.

I'll be back in Troy in the 20's of August. I won't even be back from MI by the 10th... I'm out there until the 17th. I wish I could make that meet, I've put a bunch of new stuff on the 7 this week while I've been in home. We'll have to have another mini meet later in august.
