get this i was talkin to some kid about my tII and he said that his dad and him where going to find a way to put in a 240sx motor in his 7 because he has a hatred for the rotor!!

you know those ppl who hate rotaries prolly dont know how to change there oil. just cause this car needs to be maintained does not mean it sucks.

Yea, the 240's aren't really fast cars at all. Maybe a silvia transplant into the seven would be more reasonable, just a thought.....lol. If he REALLY wanted to do a transplant..he should go for the 20B!

 

stock for stock a 240sx will kick an n/a rx7 ***. Maybe a bit closer w/ the 89+ 7's. They weigh about the same, put out more torque, and are also RWD.

I drive and love my rx7, but I also respect the 240, its not that bad.

A guy in my car club got a silvia engine + 6 speed tranny, he's gonna put it in a 97 240 he picked up cheap. It's gonna be awesome when he finishes it.

 

It would be so odd to me to see a PIST-ON motor in an RX7 engine bay.

160hp with better traction rx7 will be fast then a 155hp 240sx and they r about the same weight the 240 is lighter by less then 100 pounds!!!!!!!!!u obviosuly dont know what u r talking about
i was going to buy a rx7 instead of the 240sx but i couldnt find a 240sx for a good price

 

Some 240's look cool, but they are few and far between, but people always turn and stare at 7's. I once was told that if they would have but a 4 banger into the rx instead of a rotary than the rx would have been really slow, is this true?

 

yeah he said that he loves the sound of a four cylinder with a big tip on it. He also thought that it would be a real fast car because that motor was gonna be in an rx-7. he said it would be the ultimate sleeper. I told him " your f&**ing stupid a turbo 2 is the ultimate sleeper." then he was like so four cylinders are way the hell better than a "big" 1.3 liter rotory

 

haha, I would challenge him to find a STOCK 4 cylinder that produces the same 153+hp per liter that a STOCK TII produces.

 

a stock 240 beat a stock rx, bwahahaha, even the stock 1986-1988 models would beat it, the stock 240 runs a 16.4-16.6 1/4, stock 86-88 runs 15.9-16.1. hell even the 1985 GSL-SE runs a 16.2-16.4 stock. lol i would like to see ANY 1.3 litre 4 cyl engine make 145-160hp n/a.
