Rewiring NA S4 Dash harness to S5 TII Engine harness PICS
I am currently swapping an S5 TII into my 88 GXL and so far the wiring is totally different so here is my jap S5 TII harness i am cutting and rewiring into american S4 NA dash harness plugs
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1742/1copyrt7.jpg Here is the N326 plugged into the dash harness Note* I also have the n374 ECU plugged into the 2 inputs on the jap harness http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/8143/2copytt6.jpg Here is where my dash plugs will plug into after i rewire them in the N374 Harness http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/9444/3copywf8.jpg Will this work???? i have not a clue but I am going to try. :MissileSm |
I am also looking for a dash harness wiring diagram for the two harnesses so if anyone knows where i can find one that would help.
|
so does anybody know where to get this diagram, this is the problem i am running into, have copied all of the wiring diagrams for STOCK S5 TII ecu and they totally dont match with the TII engine i recievied, and yes my ecu is stamped with N374, so what year and what submodel info is there on that! PLEASE AND THANX!

Series five wiring is here: http://www.whoistouching.us/rx7/s5wiring/
Series four wiring is here: http://www.cochran-racing.com/FSM/s4...NG_DIAGRAM.pdf Your trying to mate the Front harness with the Emissions harness. |

click on the 89-91 link it has the whole FSM so how is it not there.....i see it all the time when i look at it....it has EVERY wiring diagram for the RX-7
|
The wiring diagrams/schematics are not in any of the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTRODUCTION ENGINE LUBRICATION COOLING FUEL AND EMISSIONS (NA) FUEL AND EMISSIONS (TURBO) ENGINE ELECTRICAL CLUTCH MANUAL TRANSMISSION (NA) MANUAL TRANSMISSION (TURBO) AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PROPELLER SHAFT AXLES MANUAL STEERING POWER STEERING BRAKES WHEELS SUSPENSION BODY BODY ELECTRICAL TECHNICAL DATA TOOLS Ain't thar. Although I do think it's a fine site for downloading FSM's........with no wiring diagrams. humor |
thats odd because i see the emissions electrical, body, ecu and engine wiring diagrams on my screen

Those wiring diagrams are for only USA versions. BUT, on a recent thread a fellow gave another RX owner the Japanese version of the series five wiring schematics. You might look for that thread. It was only this last week or so. |

An example: The fellow who started this thread wanted to match the wires b/t the two plugs that have a reference designator FEM-01 and FEM-02. FEM meaning FRONT TO EMISSIONS. If one looks at the series five WIRING diagrams he can find the pinouts for these two plugs, FEM-01 and FEM-02 and compare them to the same plugs in the series FOUR wiring diagrams. Then he can repin his connectors so the ECU will work. Ain't no FEM-01 or FEM-02 in the chapters you cited. Like I said before, I do like that site and have bookmarked it. Wiring diagrams like these for the series four: http://www.rx7city.com/Manuals/88%20.../23_WIRING.pdf |
yeah i beleive it was this thread, so can anybody help here??.....

JSPEC wiring diagrams anybody, please and thanx.
|
bump for help please
|
your going to have plenty of fun with this lol been there done that holy shit never again hahaha just buy a stand alone and s4 front cover
|
Its a waist of time. And when you do finish its a never ending problem. I would just use the S4 Na harness and install onto your TII block. Change the S5 front cover to a S4 front cover to manually use the OMP. The rest will fit with no problem.

dont really have much choice here, dont have any real extra money for this project and need to get it started due to the fact that it only has a 30 day start up warranty and it has been a week, please does anybody know where i can find JDM S5 turbo wiring harness schematics and wiring diagrams, please and thanx!
|
help, received Jdm wire harness diagram but it is in japanese, so does any1 know of one that is JDM version but in english, or can any1 translate at least the ecu wire colors and where they go to, shouldnt be more than 30 wires and their color and functions????????? please and thanx

If your stressed out and have to just start the engine withing thirty days to see if the thing will run/idle, just connect the original na EM harness to the engine and use the n/a ECU, afm, pressure sensor etc.
IN other words chunk the series five electronics and WIRING (EM harness) and just start the engine. If it won't run, return it. Whether series four, series five, turbo or non turbo, they all has the same coils assy's, four injectors, a afm, a pressure sensor, water thermo sensor and they're alll in the same place. The engine should start and idle and be driveable without boost. Use the series four ECU, pressure sensor, afm together as a unit. All the same. After it runs, then go back and do that rewiring from series four to series five, at your leisure. Post a jpg of one of the japanese diagrams, if you will. Just one page will do. The page that has the injectors etc. That should be easy to distinguish from the others. |
