lol I agree too
a fourm member has been kind enough to host them for me so they will be up soon and no the hood is no exactly the same as the Border hood but I think it is a nice reverse vented hood that is alittle more lowkey the the Border hood also 500$ is an aprox price we are still finalizing things with our fiberglasser price should be around that though.
Thanks Mael

Hey a4sport Thank you very much for posting these pics everyone else sorry the hood is so dirty but the weather had been bad when I took these I will have better pics soon
The hood will be made of fiberglass with a fiberglass underbrace it will have all the hardware mounted in the underbrace so you will just have to bolt it up and be off.
again sorry the pics arnt the greatest but its winter.
Thanks Mael

I just wanted to point out that nothing in this thread so far has been a "reverse scoop". A reverse scoop (aka cowl induction hood) needs to pull air from an area closer to the windshield in order to be effective. See here:
http://www.camaro-untoldsecrets.com/...es/rpo_zl2.htm

The hoods shown so far in this thread have what is more correctly called a duct (inlet, outlet, or channel) or vent (outlet), intended to act as an outlet as opposed to a scoop (inlet).

I am not sure what kind of hood was originally intended as the subject of this thread, but I just wanted to make that clarification.

OK, enough from the aerodynamics *****. Please continue...

lol. i dunno about the terminology but that kind of hood would be pretty gay since the hood area near the windshield undergoes a state of pressure instead of
vacuum making it a useless location to have a vent/duct.

nope cowl hoods actually do suck air in. when the air hits the base of the windshield, there is a high pressure area, have you ever noticed how leaves get stuck there?

LOL, I will explain again...

Scoop = Inlet (Air goes IN)

Vent = Outlet (Air goes OUT)

A hole in the center of a hood is located in a low pressure area that is best used for air going OUT, which means a VENT.

A hole in the rear of the hood is located in a high pressure area that is best used for air going IN, which means a SCOOP.

The position and function of the hole depend on whether the air is intended to go IN or OUT of the hole.

Your all wrong with regard to reverse cowl hoods, and FCs. Notice I did not say '69 camaros, My cantileveed stock hood proves Evil, and the two proceeding posts to be wrong. The amount of pressure at the base of the windshield has to be signifigantly higher than that of the air trying to vent from under the hood for the previous three posts to be correct. There is a reason why FACTORY reverse cowl induction works, while the bulbous aftermarket camaro hoods do not. On a factory reverse cowl induction, the inducing(probably not a word) vent is isolated from the underhood air, on an FC it is not. In addition the pressure created by the air coming through the nose of an FC is enough to not only vent, but lift the rear of the hood. I have shown this empirically time, and again, that coupled with a ~30-40 degree temp drop by cantilevering the rear of the hood shows your assumptions to be false with regard to an FC, THE END... A hood like the one I designed, and use works the way Evil predicts as far as venting efficiently, however the farther rearword, the more effective the vent will be.

Thanks for the enlightening response. I have working examples of both which refute your comments. THAT is what I do know, and understand. Carl
