REV limiter to use? i have no idea
Im looking for a rev limiter. Never had one before.
However today i was racing a bit and Somehow ended up past 8k rpm and then lost power for a sec. However everything seems to be ok. Maybe the stock ECU just shut down for a sec. I was looking at some on ebay the BEE rev limiters are over 200. then i saw some for 50. What will work with the rx7 Since it has two coils? I know nothing about rev limiters And want something cheap that just works
88 rx7 gxl

If you can't hear it then it is not working properly, which again goes back to my suggestion of fixing it.
Why am I getting the feeling that you can hear the shift buzzer just fine, but you really want a rev limiter so that you can mash the gas pedal and drift, burn out, or do something else stupid that will end up blowing your motor?
Anyway, the best rev limiter I am aware of is the TEC3, which is what I would use if I were to build a show car.

I want a rev limiter around 7k 7500k rpm. I want to be able to adjust it. Besides my car likes to throw blue smoke if i rev to much. And i have a led foot i cant control. So i need a Rev limiter to do it for me! :P

Some MSD ignition controllers come with rev limiters. They wont give you the crazy backfire like the bee R but you get an ignition box/rev limiter for the same price.

Well as far as i understood. Rev limiters cut the spark. Fuel takes to long. So i think Most or Not all rev limiters might cause backfireing when the spark comes back online. Well at least with most rx7s.

There are a few issues here. First and most important, the FC has two ignition systems; trailing and leading.
Most rev limiters and CDI boxes have no idea what leading is and are designed for cars running cylinders and distributors.
I have seen threads where people have used the Beer/B**r/Bee*r/whatever on the FC but no one has yet explained how it works. Putting any retard box on the leading has no effect on the trailing.
Why not just learn right foot pedal control?
You want to lower the rev limiter from around 8500 to 7500? Seems oddly pointless and an unnecessary waste of money.

Ok. Everyone has already said it but the stock rev limiter and buzzer work perfectly fine. If you can't hear it, your exhaust/radio are too loud.
If you REALLY have to get a aftermarket one, get one that is a spark retard/cut, not a fuel cut. If you get one that's a fuel cut, you'll find yourself replacing motors pretty often. The Bee-R limiter is a common one used as its a spark cut. The only problem with this is that because of the timing retard, the exhaust heats up a great amount. This can make holes in headers of n/a's and blow up turbos.
If you REALLY need a rev limiter, I'd recommend going to 2 MSD 6AL boxes from the stock ignition. It's a bit costy but one of the only ways I would ever put a aftermarket limiter on my car if I were to install one.
