Return line on stock pump?

Does the efi pump from an S4 have a return line? I can't get under the car to see how the fuel system is plumbed under the car right now, its stuck in a crammed garage. Anyone know first hand?

on the firewall below the oil filter, there is a metal canister (feed line with filter) and above it a steel line (return)? this is an 88 S4

Just want to check with people that have replumbed the system.

Yes there is a return line. The canister on the driver side firewall is the fuel filter amd the other line is the return.

Checking the Factory Service Manual will tell you that the fuel pump feeds the fuel filter, then up to the primary fuel rail through the pulsation damper to the primary rail, up to the secondary rail, and then through the pressure regulator back to the tank via a return line.

Is something wrong with your car? Why are you trying to find the return line?
