Resonator that wont burn up?

I am currently running a RB header, cat delete, and CS catback and would like to quiet it down. I have heard the RB presilencer is not only heavy its expensive and burns up over time. And besides the RB presilencer i havent seen another option for a pipe going from the RB header (single outlet) to the start of a catback. I am currently building my own pipe and would like to put a resonator of some sort in it but dont want to have to replace it every year or less. Anybody have any suggestions for a resonator that isnt packed with something that will burn up in a FC exhaust?

I love my RB silencer. I haven't had any problems with it, and it isn't that expensive. It is great quality. Hasn't burned up in 3 years. Still lookin' good and sounding great! Significant difference if I put a straight pipe in place of the RB silencer.

How's it going to burn up? It's packed with steel mesh, not fiberglass.

The RB presilencer will be the easiest way to go, but if you need to go cheaper, corksport sells their own silencer/resonator for less, but it is made to directly replace the main cat. The RB header will be 3" too short when you try to bolt them together. It will require adding a section of pipe in the end of the header.

I am quite happy with my Vibrant "Ultra Quiet" resonator. It is stainless, with stainless packing. I've run the Vibrant resonators on several RX-7s and they work well.
