Reset Check Engine Light

Hi All.

I ended up losing one of my belts for the air pump. I replaced it but hte service engine light was on since I had to run the car without that belt for a bit. I'm pretty sure that the check engine is from that since I didn't have it until that belt broke. My theory would be an inccorrect reading from the O2 sensor or something..

Anyway, is there an easier way to reset the check engine WITHOUT diconnecting the battery? I just hate setting that darn radio.

Any help would most certainly be apprecited.

If you just want to disconnect the power to the ECU, then that's what you need to do minimally.

You can unplug the fuse (under the hood) for "EGI"...

So I disconnected the EGI fuse for like a minute or two, and then plugged it back in and the service engine light was on still (before even turning on the car). Now I'm wondering if I've actually GOT a problem.. The car has been running fine..

I just put in a new slave cylinder and then replaced the belt that broke.. what could I have missed? I don't seem to remember unplugging anything for the slave cylinder (besides the stuff that goes to the cylinder itself)
