replacing s4 engine anything special?
Hello all, im about to put in a new "used" s4 engine NA back into my 88 gtu. Is there anything special I am forgetting here?
Im going to be ordering new:
engine and tranny mounts (dont know where)
new vac hoses
should I get a new gasket kit for the intake and exaust?
(I gata get a new cluch hose my popped / got cut taking engine out)
new spark plugs ...
anything else (other then street port) that I should do while engine is out?
I already got a stage 2 ceramic clutch . ... does a lightweight flywheel really help? they are kinda expensive....

check your oil injectors for vacuum leaks (attach vac hose, pour some soapy water on them and blow through the hose) and wash and degrease engine bay, might also want to change front and rear main oil seals and transmission input shaft seal, they are like $5-10 each and soo easy to change out of the vehicle.
Pretty much anything you need for this project can be ordered through MazdaTrix. If you have to put anything on yourself (i.e. intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc) then get new gaskets for it. Also, if you plan to drag race, don't get a light flywheel, because it will hurt your launch. I have one because I don't drag - for me, the lighter the better.
