hey guys i have a friend with an 86 base NA 5spd... neways everytime you shift or let go of the clutch it does the.. GUNK noise i know that the rear bushing is shot i already got a replacement any idea how to replace it???

sounds more like the front differential mount, than a bushing

 

agreed my buddies GX was making that sound, we replaced the tranny mount and the rear diff mounts, and the sound disappeared.

You can download the FSM from www.iluvmyrx7.com. There's alot of info in there to help you fix up your seven. This subject has already been covered several times as well. If you do a search for "suspension bushing," you should find a writeup. From what I've heard, it's not the easiest thing to do, and I havn't done it yet myself.

(Change the bushings, that is. Not doing a search. That's easy)

 

actually thats what i think it is the diff mount is it hard to replace or what?? logged on my brothers s/n??
