Replacing Bulbs Behind The "Logicon"

does anyone know what kind of bulb is used in behind the heater controls to illuminate the display and what kind of bulb is used for the rear defrost light?

what part of the display???

The on lights and sliders are illuminated by orange LEDs, which almost never burn out. If they are out you need to re-solder the control panel of the logicon

On mine they are little bulbs that screw in. About half a turn each. Mazdatrix sells them for around 4 bucks each. You can change them without a full removal of the logicon. Meaning the long cable can stay attached.
One note. Once you unscrew the old ones, use something like a pencil eraser to clean the contacts on the logicon.

Yeah, there are just 2 bulbs in the Logicon - one is for the top half of the unit, the other is for the bottom half.

I don't think they're commonly available bulbs - probably best to get 'em from Mazdatrix or Mazdaformance.

i have replaced my.

i had two burnt out ones... i believe there are 4 bulbs total... one ilimunates the fan slider, another for heat slider... and one for left side and one for right side icons.

i took the bulb out... and went to an elecontrics store...the ones that sells IC chips, transisotrs, resistors etc... thats all they sell. and i showed the store owner the bulb i was looking for and told him it was 12V.

he found them...exact match... only cost me 90 cents canadian each.
