Renesis in an FC
I know it hasn't hit the market but, does it sound feasable that the Renesis could be transplanted in the 2gen? that would be way cool, i would drop going for the J-spec and take that up in a sec. Just think of all the possibiltes. ps. i tried the search so don't tell me to do so.
I was thinking the same thing, my friend has an auto recycling yard and am going to get the first one that he gets, sounds bad to be wishing that someone crashes there new Rx-8
It's only a matter of time before someone does it. I mean, people have put 20Bs, 13B-REWs, um, V8s, so what's to stop someone from putting in a RENESIS?
Answer, the fact they aren't here yet.
I say by sometime in 2003 or 2004 someone will have done it.

There are people that deal directly with Mazda. Not easy to find them but a brand new 3rd gen factory fresh engine can be purchased for about $2,500... I do not know anymore LOL
I agree it's likely to be expensive. (dual fly by wire TB's etc.) Lots of electronics to carry over. Different (lower) engine mounts. Six speed transmission etc. etc. When my 91 engine dies, the renesis is first choice.
