Removing Stereo Surround...

I'm guessing the stereo surround everyone keeps saying breaks easily is the plastic that goes around the stereo, cig. lighter, and two vents. If not, thats the part i'm talking about. I can get the bottom around the cig. lighter off, but at the top part with the vents it is hooked on something. Do I need to remove the vents first to get it off, or just pull at it? I don't want to break it or anything, but its really in the way of what I want to do.

You have to remove the 2 vents found above...behind It you'll see 2 screws that secure It to the actual Dashboard. 4 screws total.

Do the vents just pull out or is there a way to take them off?

They pull out. I'd just try to squeeze them out b'n the Vents and pull straight out. Try to fit 2 fingers per hand b'n each Vent and with your thumbs press against the actual Surround Trim. From there, you are going to need a stubby Phillips to remove the 2 Screws retaining It to the Dashboard.
