removing the side mirror?

my right side mirror is messed up. When i try to adjust it, it makes the sounds of the little motors, but doesn't work for crap. I took a closer look at it and it seems as though the little white plastic screws in which the motors grab on to came out of there place, and i don't have the space to put it back together unless i take that assembly out. Anyone have a write up on how-to remove the side mirror without breaking it? Thanks

It's a cake walk. Pop the plastic off from the inside that covers where the screws are, then unscrew them.

KNightkarr.

Be careful removing that corner plastic piece. It may have once been easily removed about 10 years ago.

But its sat in there for a while. If you're not extremely careful and patient, it will snap and crack.

Then you'll have two problems.
