Question removing racing beat pre silencer

I have a 87 TII that has extensive mods pushing 500whp..i still have the racing beat rev full exhaust on it with the presilencer. I just recently got a new turbo setup with a 3.5 inch downpipe. so my question here is how much of a difference in sound/restriction does the silencer make? i was planning on removing it and making just a pipe that is now 3.5 to match the downpipe and taking it the whole way back to where the Y pipe is where the 2 muffler pipes branch off. What do you guys think? it will be going from a 3 inch pipe with pre silencer to just a straight 3.5 inch pipe whole way back to y pipe.. will this be a moderate increase in power due to less restriction or will this setup be to loud? is it worth it?

to loud is like a N/A rx7 with an aftermarket exhaust that isnt made by RB.. any droneing sound when driving on the highway is unexceptible..i had a NA rx7 with those OE replacement bullet mufflers/ aftermarket cat and RB header and that thing was way to loud...right now my TII with the RB full exhaust and presilencer i would say is very quiet so use that as a guideline to what i think is loud.. i do not want my 500whp rx7 to sound like a riced out honda. id like it to be a little bit louder then it is now though.

EDIT..i have no idea what 96db sounds like

I run a straight 3" exhaust (no presilencer) to the RB catback. it's not loud at all, I mean I can't count the decibels but it's fine. I have a friend who runs the 3" RB catback on his FD (straightpiped) and his isn't bad either. But you need to recirculate the wastegate.

so you are planning on replacing the RB mufflers? It is the RB mufflers that are the key. they are pretty high flowing and control noise well.

J-rat runs the RB 2.5" catback and he did over 500whp. I doubt he has a presilencer.

the only parts of the RB system im planing on using are from the y pipe back including the RB mufflers, i know these RB mufflers are very high quality and they keep sound levels down.. im going to keep them. but im going to be running a WG recirculated 3.5 inch downpipe made by turblown and then removing the pre silencer and then installing a straight thru 3.5 inch pipe the whole way back to the RB y pipe..

EDIT: to arghx...how much of a difference would you say you noticed when you removed the pre silencer?

if you want it to stay quiet run a 3.5" magnaflow midpipe.

or get a corsa muffler. they take the highway and idle noise WAY down. expensive though.
