Removing old wiring

Hi if anyone could give me any info on where I could find a diagram on what parts of the old wiring comes off,and what I nedd to leave on,that would be GREAT.
Having some trouble with this.I have an 88 turbo II, I am removing the old wiring harness (the original). And I am replacing with FC Haltech E6X. My first problem is that I am not sure about removing the original harness. Any help would be GREAT.

If you check the FAQs posted at the top of this section, there's a link to where you can download the Factory Service Manual (Herein called FSM). The FSM has a complete wiring diagram, complete with connection location and drawings.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what you're looking for? Are you looking for which specific connections you're going to go need on your wiring harness now? Or which ones you are?
