i have been painting various interior parts but i cannot figure out how to remove one part

it is that vent thing right next to the door lock.
how do you remove it!?!?

i can't seem to figure it out, and i dont want to break it
does anyone know? the tech manuals don't really say

You have to take the door pannel off bc/ there are screws holding it from the rear. I fount this out when i replaced my broken one. Doesnt take that long.
