is removing the emmisions contrl worth the effort
worth it in what way? do you have a way to pass without them? i really dont think its worth it if you like driving you car everyday, i'm keeping my emissions, if oyu dont you end up trying weird and crzy ways to drop your hydrocarbon levels an you end up failing anyways
It totally depends on you. If you dont have to worry about smog and can do it correctly you shouldnt have any problems. For me I did it for simplicity. If you work on your car alot and are always under the UIM it makes things alot easier to get it/repair as well as diagnosing problems.
What you have to remember is that the only part of the emission control system that effects engine output is the cat, simply because it's a restriction in the exhaust. So don't go into this expecting performance gains.
And since you're asking about this, I'm assuming you don't need to pass emissions checks...

well i dont have to worry about emmisions i read somewhere that the 5th and 6th ports?!? wouldnt open up right. im new to rotarys so this is all new to me.
I was considering removing my emissions but like the saying goes:
"If it isn't broken, don't fix it."
No problems with my emissions & how it affects my car, so why should I go messing around with it only to potentially cause more problems than I can prevent?
If something goes awry with the emissions at a later date, I'll remove it then.
Until that happens, it stays
