removing the emissions parts
i've got an 87 non-turbo that i just bought off a friend.he tells me to take the air pump out, no worrys. but it has that DO NOT REMOVE sticker that has me worried.
ive got a full race exhaust from corksport so the long tube that goes to the cat has no home. so can i remove that to? if so what about the lines, hoses going to the motor from said parts do i run them so they just dump under the car er what? any info would be better than my haines manual on the subject. thank you.

the do not remove sticker is on there because removing it is in violation of federal emissions standards. For the rest of your troubles do a search on "emissions removal" or something similar. You will find a number of lengthy threads detailing exactly what you can and cannot remove and how to remove what you are able to.

this helps with the air pump http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/air_pump.htm but did anyone ever think about routing it to the intake? i know the that site says the air pump disengages under full throttle but that can be changed. what do you think?
