i want to remove the ratnest of emissions vaccum hoses without going carbarated

why?

 

It's pretty easy. Just take it off, cap off all the open vacuum nipples and run new fuel lines. I don't remember for sure, but if the vac line for the FPR (or anything else important) goes to the rats nest, connect it somewhere else on the intake manifold. I did it on an S4 though so S5 might be different.
