removing cats, have ?

I have my 90 vert at the muffler shop tonight, waiting to have the cats removed tomorrow morning. Now I think I've read this correctly, but correct me if I'm wrong, my 5th and 6th ports don't open from backpressure right? And the only additional plug in my cat sections is from a air hose just to make it pass emissions easier? So all the muffler shop has to do is cut the metal hose on the current cat pipe and plug it? Thanks.

Sounds about right. But you could just remove the pipe, and the ACV, and the air pump too, since it seems that emissions isnt an issue for you. Course you would need block off plates...

What about us that need to pass emissions, but are going to make a ghetto 3" straight exhaust and get rid of the cat right after I pass echeck.. should we just plug that line? (gonna have to put highflow cat on for echeck in a year or so)
