Removed my ACV, now what.
1987 TII
Just removed my ACV today. I have a few questions. I know I have to get a block off plate, but 1, what do I do with the 3 vac lines that were going to the ACV, just block them off. The pic is a pic of the 3 lines.
My second question is where does the boost sensor line go now, it was pluged into the ACV?
Thanks
Tim

If you look in the picture, the big blue hose is already T'ed with the black boost guage hose. Is this right or is my boost guage in the wrong place? If it is right, then can you have 3 different hoses going into the same place?

Does anyone have the answer.
Is my boost guage hooked up incorrectly. (it could be b/c it has never worked since I have gottent he car.) Where should the boost guage go if it is on wrong. And if its right can you hook up 3 hoses to one source?
Thanks.

At the manifold end of the pressure sensors' vac line there is a small plastic orifice inside the hose. You can squeeze the hose to find it, or you might still be able to see the little dot Mazda put on the hose to show where it is.
It's there to stop pressure spikes getting to the pressure sensor. People who forget to keep it when they replace their vac lines experience fuel cut at very low boost.

Take the vac hose off and blow into it. If the boost gauge moves.......then you know the gauge is good and you have a boost problem. Take the TID off and see if the compressor wheel will turn and if there is slop in it. See if there are any missing blades, broken blades, twisted blades. If that checks out....suspect that the precat and or the catalytic converter is stuffed. Read this: http://www.majesticturbo.com/trouble.html and the parts that apply to your situation.
EDIT: And most boost gauges have a reading for vacuum while your idling. Does your gauge show a vacuum at idle? If it does...the gauge is probably good and the problem is the turbo/exaust.

Thanks for all that trouble shooting help, but I know it is the guage b/c it is not hooked up properly. B/C when I drive the car I can definately feel it boosting.
I will tell my friend about that site though b/c he is looking at this T2 for cheap and the turbo only works sometimes. Thanks.
