Unhappy Removed dash to clean now have an electrical problem

I was cleaning out the inside of my 87 rx7 na the other day when I decided to remove the dash and clean everything. Now that I have everything cleaned up and ready to go back together, I seem to be having a electrical problem. I tried reinstalling the dash wiring harness and as soon as I plug in the big blue clip on the drivers side along with the big white clip on the passenger side, my system goes crazy and my horn sounds no stop along with my emergency lights blinking and I don't even have the emergency light button hooked up yet. I am completely lost on this, thought it would be a simple plug and play. Is there a ground or something that I am missing inorder to make this work correctly as before? Thanks for any and all help.

Okay I found out the problem was that I was hooking up the idiot light plug to the wrong spot. Now I don't any problems with grounds or sounds, but I cant figure out which plug is supposed to go in the spot i had the idiot light plug plugged into. The plug looks like its a front to rear wiring harness plug or something like that. Its big and white by this big blue one on the passenger side of the dash. The car runs now but I do not have this plugged in because I have yet to figure out what it is used for.

On a side note it is always better to be safe than sorry when working with the electrical components of your car which could be accomplished by removing the ground terminal to the battery first.
