Question Remove of A/C

Hi, did anyone take out the A/C in their FC, and I want to know how to take it out. Anyone with step by step procedure. I don't want to fix the A/C and waste more gas since FC has not that good mileage per gal. Hope someone out there can give me the instruction so I can take the A/C out.

thanks

Hey ok first of all just a little advise from a fellow fc owner,

Ive owned an fc for a little over 4 years now and im about to put my a/c back in. I live in a state that has horribly hot and humid summers so if you go through anything like that i highly recommend you dont remove it cause later on down the road its going to cost you a lot to put it back in and time. Its exactly what im going through.

Hey and also about it saving you gas and all its really not that big a diffrence its probably like penies a week honestly i dont think its worth it.

As far as removing it first you gotto evac the system its illegal to release taht crap in the air especially in cali, then just start removing piece by piece.

first off... boston is horribly hot and humid?? WTF ever dude, lol. Try living in the southeast.
if it doesnt work it doesnt work. dead weight, waste of space.

on a lighter note, if your AC does not work that most likely means that there is not much freon in the piping. just loosen the bolts on the condensor, hold your breath, stand back, and tap it open with the wrench. you might see a little psshh come out but it wont explode or anything. just let it set for a few minutes to air out before you step near it.

loosen the bolts on the piping, remove
loosen the bolts on the pump, unplug wire, remove
remove screws on unit under passenger dash, remove, gut, reinstall
remove front condensor
remove front cooling panel

thats it.your car just lost 35 pounds
