Releasing power by Removing A/C

Im planning on removing my A/C. and i heard by removing it you will free up some extra HP, and of course to reduce weight. is this true?

You're talking minimal horesepower losses when the clutch isn't engaged (i.e. it isn't on).

Some days here in Houston I miss mine...

with the a/c clutch not on... i'd say you're losing .1 horsepower? you lose a noticeable amount when the a/c is actually on.

Removing the AC isnt about freeing up HP, it is about reducing clutter in the engine bay and reducing the weight of your car.
