That's why its a little known clause and why there are not many Maori in Australia. That little burning incident curtailed immigration of the Maori from that day until this very day.

Ok. It's 10.3 volts at idle and scooting down the road at a normal speed in the hood.
Its 12.6 volts at full throttle, uphill, 10psi on the boost gauge, afr of 11.1
Turning the lights on, full throttle, uphill, 10psi boost, 12.4 volts.
Prior to the rewire the voltage would fall under 12 volts. I did not write the figures down at that time. Somewhere b/t 11.5 to 11.75 volts.
That's why I'm pleased as punch with the way I did it.
Further research shows the Wombat was a strong swimmer and liked to swim far distances to faraway places. The Wombats in NZ are like the Yeti in the northwest section of the USA. They prefer to remain out of sight. Shy creatures.
Numerous sightings have been made in the Nelson Lakes National Park. Check out the local newspapers for the numerous reports of sightings of the Wombat. Even better, go to the region and ask the locals about the best way you can go about seeing a Wombat.

How much????? Actually you don't have to pay anything. Just run up to Nelson Lakes National Park, and on any full moon you can see them swimming in the moonlight. Ask the locals for directions.
You doubt their swimming ability? They employ the same principles that the SuperGuppy uses to fly. See this url for what I mean. Looks can be deceiving:

You've got to start with one stroke at a time, til your gliding thru the water with practically no effort. That's how they manage to swim such long distances i.e NewZealand.

That sounds like they should work. I've driven with a mechanical fuel pressure gauge tied to the windshield wipers and observed the pressure. One thing I remember about doing that was a jump in the fuel pressure when I stomped the pedal and got into boost range. Maybe Mr Jarrett ( elderly gentleman) can check his fuel rail pressure sometime during the clicking ?????????

Glad to hear yor results were positive. I really must pull finger and do this. I'll still relocate the relay/resistor though, coz it'll free up room to get a decent sized cold air duct in.

Well, I dont think that relay has anything to do with my wierd idling problem. I am starting to think that the lack of my neutral switch may be contributing to my problems.
When I am in neutral and the clutch is all the way out, it idles funny. Like one rotor is shut off. As soon as you put even the slightest pressure on the clutch (enough to trip the clutch switch), the idle drops to normal. If the clutch is released again, the idle remains normal.
Very wierd...

Tap into the clutch switch wire (1L) and see what you get when the pedal is depressed and when its relased.

I brought this old thread back to life.
J-RAT said the thing clicked when he tapped the pedal. At the time he wrote this thread I hever had heard this clicking of the Fuel Pump Relay and Resistor when you tap the gas pedal at say, idle.
Since then, I put a turbo in my 87n/a and added a Fuel Pump Relay and Resistor but installed it in the left rear of the car. I also notice that the relay comes and goes as you step on the pedal (just tapping it). Mostly after the engine has been driven for a while. The ground from the ECU seems to come and go probably after looking at the boost sensor output rise/fall and looking at the temps.
So JRAT isn't nuts.
