Redline Tranny Fluid and Cold Weather

I was about ready to put some redline tranny fluid into my car (MT90) and my friend told me that in the winter, I won't be able to shift into 5th and I was wondering if that was true? I live in Wichita Kansas, so like, it rarely, but sometimes gets below 0 here. Does anyone know if its true that I may not be able to shift into 5th gear? And if I couldn't, wouldn't I be able to after my car warmed up? And one last thing, another friend told me that the transmission won't warm up till I actually used it, so if it would when it warmed up, I'd have to sit out there and shift it forever. Thanks!

BTW, Its a FC S4, 1987 TII

You'll be fine. I can't figure out why your friend would think this...Not being able to shift into 5th is just a weird symptom to make up...

MT-90 will work like a 75W90. It will be fine in any temp between -35F to 140F

With redline it shifts BETTER than standard gear oil in the cold. I've had both standard gear oil and redline in Michigan winters.
