Yes, It is simple circuit.

I actually (on my old Sport) hooked up both a light and a relay that killed the stereo (since my old sport had a 760 (RMS) watt system and you could easy not hear the buzzer if the stereo was on even half way.

hmm how deep in the dash is this simple circuit? Where is the best place to tap into that wire? Any help you could give would be great.

thanks.

how accurate is the buzzer tho? If i remember corectly the factory specs give it about 400 or 500 rpm of play. seems like a shift light would be much more accurate

I am pretty sure this circut can be taped on the back of the gauge cluster. I remember Icemark saying to re-solder the solder joints on the gauge cluster to fix the buzzer..

So if its on the back of the cluster, it might be listed on the FSM in that section.

However im not sure if maybe you need to tap it before the cluster.. I wouldn't think so...

Its very acurate on my car, it can be ajusted with a screw in the cluster as well if your buzzer is not going off at the right RPM.

I also remember reading somewhere that they tend to go off slightly before, at 6800 RPMS(not sure on that exact number) for S4's so by the time you hear the buzzer and react its at redline by then. Rather then having it go off exactly at 7k or 8k depending on your model.
