red hot fuel injectors
Hey... this is my first rx-7... its n/a with over 250km on it... but it still runs real good and is alot of fun to drive.
question 1.
I do have that dreaded 3500 Rpm bog down problem... I pretty sure I have ruled out an electrical problem. My dad got me some used fuel injectors from a rebuilt engine he had in his yard. My question is... about installation... If i just disconnect the battery, clamp the fuel line, disconnect the electrical and fuel line. Install the replacement injector and reconnect the electrical and fuel line... will it be ok.
or should i just go to a mechanic... my old man is of the opinion i should do it myself. The car is my daily driver... so i dont want to ***** it up.
question 2.
I know that my engine is supposed to run hotter than a conventional pistion engine... and that is normal... i did however noticed that my catalytic converters get red hot under the hood while the engine is running... is this normal... or should i be worried about buying a whole new exhaust system?
Your help with these most likely rookie questions would be greatly appreciated.

The 3800RPM hesitation has many causes. Grounding the boost seems to be the most common fix.
