Did you ditch the dtss yet? Sorry had to ask.

I use KYB shocks and Tanabe springs. Works well for me since I'm fairly new, and a cheaper method, eventually I am planning on going fully customizable suspension kit.

For "touge" you want a suspension set up with a lot of stoke. For drifting, minimal. So pick your poison, you can't really have one or the other.

But who cares?

Get the AGXs for the front and get a set of springs that are close in spring rate like 50lb/in. apart. Remove the rear sway bar for spirited street driving and install it for dorifto action along with changing alignment and shock settings.

I never understood the "I wanna go fast and occasionally drift" thing. They're completely different and competitively doing both requires changing 10000 things on the car. Being in the middle means not being good at either.

It's not that simple. Eibach can recommend spring rates if you don't know where to start.

There is no reason to remove the rear sway bar unless you have a track car with very high spring rates (> 500lbs/in). Even then, most guys run the stock rear bar with an adjustable front bar.

Ah, I didn't buy mine new so I wouldn't know. I would think you could get whatever rates you wanted, like 375lb/in F and 325 or 350 rear.

Whys that? The reason I suggested removal of the rear bar was to counteract the oversteer he'd get with nearly equal spring rates. Hes not going to be fast or be able to drift well with either setup but he'd be in the middle and it'd be cheap.

Relying entirely on your setup doesn't mean being good at them either.

But to the OP, I get the idea that for your purposes, you'd probably want a stiff suspension (that is, if you can tolerate the ride quality). You'd probably have the most fun with your car that way. Probably something around the lines of KTS, Stance, or MAX coilovers.

Screw springs and struts, get a damn coilover setup. Springs and struts just don't compare to a good coilover. Ksport, Stance, Tanabe, Tein, etc etc. It all depends on your price range, but a good set can be had for around $850-$950 depending on where you shop.

And with a coilover setup, you can change your settings depending on what kind of racing you will be doing.
