Recomendations on cleaning fuel tank

Anyone got some recomendations on cleaning my gas tank out. There is some black crusty crap on the inside, I dropped the tank and it is pretty messy inside. Someoen said put some sand in it... Paint thinner and sound sound good?

heh, i just drained mine about a week ago. Wear a rain coat!!! it doesn't drain nearly as you would think it should. half the drainage rolls down the bottom of the tank, the other half goes right into a bucket/gas can you have planned.

go to a hardware store and buy a siphon with a handpump. it'll look like a turkey baster on steroids. works like a charm.

I dropped my gas tank cleaned it and replaced fuel pump... all I did was simply dump all the crap out add little amounts of fuel via GeryCan and keep slashing it arround until no more dirty crap came out... this way it will not rust and you get a clean gas tank!

Condensed water is you biggest enemy.

After initial rinsing with fuel, maybe finish with a whole can of injector cleaner.
That will absorb the last of the water..
