Recaros in FC???

OK all, im thinking about putting in custom seats in my T2, but i would like to know what actually will fit since not all seats fit any car. These are the ones im choosing between

Recaro SRD
Recaro sport seat
Sparco torino
Momo Street Racer

This list is in order of my preference. I would really like the SRD's but dont know if they will fit or not. Does anyone know how well these 4 seats fit in an FC? I want them in a pair, not just driver side. Any help is much appreciated

SRD seat

I have one red SRD as my drive seat in my TII. Mine fits well but tight on both side. Depend on who make the bracket for you, because mine was custom made, not from recaro. I will take some pic Monday since I dont have my camera with me. Hope this help.

Yes, please post some pictures for me. You say you didnt use the recaro brackets at all? Then how did you make the brackets you have, and what did you use to make them. Did you just modify the recaro brackets, or get some other companys slider?

Also, how comfortable are those seats in your T2? Is it to extreme for a daily driver seat? They look like they would hold you in REALLY well and thats what i would like to have. How do they compare to the Recaro sport seat? Any pics or feedback on how you like these seats would be great!

I will have pic as soon as I go back home. Acturally, there are two types of sliders from Recaro. I know because I have this seat in my old school civic before. The bracket I talk about is the one that bolt your Recaro seat and Recaro slider to the car. I saw a REAL Recaro bracket on Japan yahoo auction but asking $170. The custom one I have was $110. Hope this help. As for the comfort, since the SRD is streetable and reclinable, the pading is thick and comfortable. I could drive in that seat for 4 hour trip with no problem at all. Lastly, compare to the sport, SRD have a lot more shoulder and lumber support since the side stick out a lot further.

Thats good to hear that its comfortable. I have the original 89 seats in mine and they are nice looking, but broken down. My butt and legs hurt bad after my 7+ hour trip down to sevenstock 4 last year. I want an aggrestive seat that wont be less comfortable than my stock ones. Sounds like the sport and srd feel the same to sit in, just different bolsters. Thank you for your help on this, looking forward to the pictures and bracket info.

Fatty_FC:

I was at SevenStock last year and had my Recaro SRD's in place then.

Stock Mazda slider with a small bracket between the slider and the seat. I had Mariah Motorsports do everything. the passenger side was the mosst difficult.

So i would assume that you are happy with your SRD's then? Comfortable for the long drive. Big improvement over the stockers? Sorry so nitpicky with questions, but those seats arent cheap and i want to make sure that ill be happy with the purchase. Thank you for posting your pic. If anyone else has similar pics, please post as well. Thanks everyone.

The seats are very comfortable, supportive and worth the money in my opinion. I drove up from LA to Monterey with them and did not notice any butt numbing feeling like the stock GXL seats gave me.

yeah, the recaro seats are wide because of the ample bolsters. The shoulder bolsters are about 1 finder width away from hitting the door panel. I'll take some really good photo's tomorrow and post them.

Yes, please post more pics if you have them. Those seats look so nice, glad to hear everyone likes them. So how would i go about getting the bracktets for the SRD's? Get the recaro brackets? Get some other brand of brackets? Modify the mazda brackets? The more pics and teh more help the better! Thanks everyone...
