rebuilt vs. reman

rebuilt vs. reman

wat should i do? get a mazda reman 13bt motor or get my motor rebuilt so i can get a streetport?

do the street port
sooo wroth its compared to a reman and ...yes no more i saw rebuilt but if your just going to rebuild and dont know if your going to street port then remam but if a ARE and know you are then bebiult it.

i wnat the street port, but iw as told that if my housings and rotors are in bad condition they would hav eto buy new housings and rotors, it will add up, so might as well buy a reman, but with the reman i cant get a street port.

talk to kevin landers, rotary resurection.... i dont know how much his streetport with new housings and such would cost but he is pretty good and very affordable, its what i would do

Hey Eric,

I called Malloy Mazda today and was quoted $1850 for a s5 13BT reman core. Shipping is around $200. I havent decided yet but I may have Dave open up the reman and port it for me. Thing that sucks is if you open up the reman you will need a partial rebuild kit/gasket set.

should i stick with my old stock wiring harness? or get the same thing but completely brand new and replace the old brittle wires? or get ems to replace old wires?

the new facotry harness is 670, the ems is like 1500 plus tuning. i just got the quote, i think imma go 670
