rebuilt enigne questions

my friend got his engine rebuilt it is a s5 turbo but i think it has s4 rotors with new housings and ported a little it runs ok but it seem like it runs one rotor until like 3000 rpm and if you are driving in like 3rd at like 2000rpm and step on the gas it don't want to go for like a sec or two we made sure the wiring to the injectors were pluged in and swaped them with differents ones to see that was not the problem

i was kinda tired. my question was why does it like run on one rotor for a while then kick in around 3000 and we tested other injectors and it still did the same thing.he was going to send them to have the injectors cleaned but he didn't.

1. Clean your injectors
2. Make sure you're getting spark
3. Make sure you're getting fuel

we put the timing light on each plug and it was geting spark and it should be geting fuel. the injecors may need to be cleaned but we had other ones to test it out with.

A compression test will tell if the seals have yet to break in on one rotor.

Where you said that you step on the pedal and it does not take off for a few seconds.......It's possible the outboard set of secondary throttle plates are hanging up on it cam/dashpot. Pull the intercooler and watch the linkage for the outboard of secondary throttle plates while you open and close the throttle numerous times.

I'm not sure how you tested them, but go ahead and do the test outlined in the FSM. Basically keep them hooked up and spraying into a cup if I remember properly.
