Talking Rebuilding a Vert [:

I picked up a vert that was sitting in storage for over 6 years and was ironically taped up waiting on a paint job. The owner apparently got bored with it.

Even though its all taken apart for paint; we wanted to put it all back together to make sure there weren't going to be any surprises. So far, the only surprise is, we can't find one of the door strikers :/ lol. But so far.. there have been good surprises! I'll mention them later [:

When I first saw here...

Like I said.. literally ready to go for paint lol

Couldn't get the top motors to work so I released the linkages. Its easier as a manual top anyway for now..

Surprise #1 for the day. Owner had all the paperwork for the car. Including, a work order from Mazda to put a brand new motor in it at 105,XXX. This girl only has 10k on her motor!

Love the old school look.. and thumbs up to Mazda for a seperate mute button LOL

That's all for now. Gonna pull her out again today to start assembling the little stuff. Hoping to clean the interior up some more, may need new carpet from sitting with the top half up all these years. Hopefully the steam cleaner will get it out!

I'm so excited!!!!

Take the stereo out and swap the cd player and tuner (top and bottom). The cd player is better on top and it's meant to be on the top of the stereo. That way the shift lever/**** aren't in the way to change cds.
