rebuild oil loss

i just got my car back and just hit 200 miles on rebuild and i had to add 1.5 quarts of oil today. is this normal or not. and i've been babying this damn thing. thanx in advance

yep its normal. I would also do a thorough inspection of your motor and underneath to make sure everything is tightened down, but yeah it should be normal. Rotaries burn oil as part of their normal operations (you should burn half to full quart in between oil changes), but during break in you'll burn alot more.
