Rebuild: Eccentric Shaft End Play = 0

My eccentric shaft end play is 0. It just won't move. The motor spins pretty freely, but the spacer in it is already a V and the next spacer isn't really that much smaller.

What are the thoughts on shaft end play? Can I get away with 0? Once torqued down, it just doesn't move.

Thanks..

IIRC a longer spacer gives more clearance

Double-triple check that the torringtons and the thrust disc are absolutely clean and flat.
You may have a burr near the bolt threads keeping the thrust disc from laying flat.

I had to chuck up the spacer in a lathe, & grind off about .004" to get my excess clearance back in spec.
