Rear wiper won't turn off
I've done a search for the problem, and although I went through six pages of threads of why a wiper won't turn on, I couldn't find anything that says why it won't turn OFF.
I was getting in the car yesterday, cranked it up to warm it up. There was a tiny layer of ice over the windshields and I didn't feel like scraping, so I just let the car warm up to melt the ice. I meant to hit the front wipers, accidentally pushed in the rear wiper switch, shooting cleaning fluid out. The wiper itself was still frozen in place. After the car warmed up a bit, (and the wipers in OFF position) the rear wiper comes on, and won't turn off. No matter what position I put the wipers in, it doesn't matter, it's always on unless the car is off or I pop the trunk to kill the power to it.
I know I'll probably have to replace the wiper switch, but I thought I'd run it by you guys first to see if anyone has any ideas.

Heh, nevermind...
I took my wiper switch out, cleaned the solder points (there was some kind of yellow/blackish crud around several of the points) and put it back together and it works again. I don't know if that actually fixed it, or if just disassembling and reassembling everything made a contact somewhere pop back into place, but either way it works.
I think I'll probably still pick up a rebuilt switch sometime to get the intermittant settings on the front wipers to work properly, but that's low on the priority list for me. Happy happy, joy joy.
