ON Rear wiper missing wiring

Looking through I find references to rear wiper but all regarding the switch issues... which I may or may not have. Swapped to a wiper-hatch but cannot find the wiring connections for the motor and pump. The FSM does show 2 connectors but they do not seem to be installed (and I thought Japanese cars tended to install all wiring just in case, to save assembly cost). They are BR/Lgy for motor pump and LB/Lgy for motor. I can sort-of make out the junction, near the drivers belt area but can't make out enough detail to be sure. Can anyone tell me where the rear wiper wiring extension would be connected? The switch and harness at the cluster seem to be complete but I would rather not mess with wiring directly from the switch. Must be a joint somewhere.

Regards

The connector for the motor (D06) is going to be under the b-pillar trim, right behind the top of the strut tower. If your car did not come wipered, this connector is probably still taped to the harness and not dangling free.
The connector for the washer pump (D07) will be down in the spare tire well because that's where the reservoir was located (actually, next to the well, below the tail lamp).

My stripper GTU had the motor connector in the harness but I don't recall if the pump wiring was there or not.

Thanks. Just spend 20 minutes trying to follow the fsm guide for the harness at the kick board (near fuse panel) but the fsm shows a connector with more pins than the one dangling under the board and colors don't match. Will look under the strut tower area again just in case.

It should be under the b-pillar trim.
The harness that's supposed to connect there goes up the b-pillar and across the top of the hatch opening, so keep the routing in mind and you should be able to backtrack to where the chassis harness connection should be.

Still m.i.a. rear wiper wiring

Nope. Not there at all. The FSM states that the rear wiper wiring example is for all models EXCEPT convertibles and BUDGET MODELS (should I feel insulted?).

The harness diagram in the fsm shows a connector with 17 connections and there is a harness dangling under the left kick plate but it has 13 connections, smaller connector and the colours don't match up. Checked these for voltage but nothing at all in accessory mode or ON.

So, could be that the cluster harness is not actually connected to anything but I did hear a relay click and it seems odd that they would add the cluster connector but not the 2nd one terminating at the kick plate.

Next step is to pull the cluster and check for voltage. If it all seems o.k. I may have to run wires out and directly to the motor and pump.

The rear wiper is not a huge deal but if the friendly government up here changes the rules to require yearly safety certs, the wiper will have to be working so better deal with it while we are still cleaning up the car.

Any other tips would be appreciated.
