Rear wiper inop

Ok so I've read everything about the switch not working and I know that's not the issue as I'm getting 12v to the contact points at the rear hatch shock, but for some reason I can't get the power to jump across the contacts to get to the motor, anyone got any experience with this?

S4 or S5?

Lets say you have an S4. On the S4 the Wiper fuse supplies voltage to the wiper motor via the Light Green/Yellow wire. What turns the wiper motor on is when the motor receives a ground signal from the Wiper Switch which is found at the Black/Red wire at the motor. If you placed a ground on this wire at the motor w/key to on then the wiper should turn on. If it does then the switch is likely at fault.

Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that, now lets say that is the problem...how do I fix the switch? I have perfectly working front wipers so I kinda don't wanna swap it out and have no fronts, I read about replacing relays. Is that the ticket?

If you're worried about the contacts specifically at the rear hatch perhaps they are a bit dirty and in need of cleaning.

Well the power won't get to the motor, and the last part I can get power to is the contacts on the bottom of the shock
