IL Rear Wiper Home Position

I have searched the forum but not had any luck in finding an answer. My rear wiper works fine with the switch, but it goes to the UP position (vertical) as home. When you turn it off, it completes the motion ...just wants to go to the up position.... any ideas?????

are you saying that when the wiper is off it points toward the front of the car?

That is correct. The wiper point to the front of the car when it is off. And its not as simple as reorienting the wiper... if you put it back to the horizontal position (pointing to the right), the wiper will go off the rear of the car....bizarre.....

The rear wiper is supposed to park upwards on second gen RX-7s.
