well my rear view mirror has been broken for quite a while now...it just sits there useless as it's basically hanging from the pole. the only problem is that i can't replace it. i want to just get an aftermarket rear view mirror and attach it on, but the stock rear view mirror is connected to this metal-looking rod that seems to extend thru the interior light n to the back of the car....i have no idea what to do....neone got ne suggestions??

 

You can take it off easy by removing the panel for the reading lights

 

its held on by 2 screws i believe.
