rear tail lights
rear tail lights
I just bought a white '88 n/a and I was wondering if the rear tail lights from a 89-91 will fit on my car without to much hassle? Also what do you guys think the first performance mod I do to my car should be? Thanks
The 89-91 lights will fit just like the 86-88 ones with a minor modification to one of the back up lights I believe. You have to file out some body metal, but its very minimal from what I understand.
First modification should be some Hella lights so that you can see while driving at night.

89+ tails will cost you HELLA money. Minimal grinding from what I've heard, and make sure you get the center piece that holds the license plate. That part is different too. I would expect to spend about $150 to $250

It was crazy, but I recently saw a set of 89-91 round Vert tailights go on e-bay for over $300.

First performance mod has to be a stainless cone filter - had stumbling at higher revs which dissapeared completely with new filter on my n/a - cinda think the mileage is a little better as well.
