Rear strut installation

I installed my struts yesterday with what I thought was the correct order of bump stops, bushings, etc. Something was wrong though. The damn rears clunked really bad, banging almost. This is the order I installed them in the picture below from right to left. What am I doing wrong?

Everything was torqued fine... the FSM shows some stuff that my new struts did not come with and I could not find on the old ones. It looks like I am missing a spacer, the "set plate" and a "rubber bushing"

again not doing it myself.... It seems like there is a gap left from no spacer and this gap is producing the clunking sound. Just going off speculation though.

I went digging through the garbage and I happened to find another part and I installed everything as below. I am still missing a rubber bushing but this seems better to me so far. It looks similar to the Haynes and FSM procedure too. I am just looking for some confirmation that I am doing it right...

I think I figured it out. I am missing a couple pieces but I figured out the correct order, I believe. Victoria British's diagram is much easier to see the pieces. I have another question though. The bottom of the springs seem too large for the strut lower mount... is there a piece of rubber that is supposed to sit inside the metal mount and then the spring sit on that?
