Arrow rear stationary gear leak

well i know i have an oil leak coming from the rear of my engine so when i ordered my new lightweight flywheel and clutch, i also ordered a new rear main seal and a rear stationary gear o ring. i remember reading in one thread that i can pull that stationary gear from my motor very carefully. so im curious as to if this is true? how should i keep my motor from spinning? any other words of wisdom from the experienced guys on here?

Motor shouldn't be turned when taking out the rear stationary gear.

thats pretty much it. the whole gear and bearing come out as one unit.

ps, you cant really turn the engine just by taking the gear out. if you want to be 100%, mark the gear when you throw it back on so its clocked properly.

^^ There is a notch in the stationary gear where it will slide onto a pin. Their is no way to mess it up.

If their is no groves or copper showing, I don't see why you cannot reuse it.
