rear seats for FC
im not sure if this topic has been discussed before but i searched and couldnt find it.
is it possible for the USDM FC to have rear seats just like the JDM FC's? i really want an FC but i dont think my parents would buy me an FC unless i can get rear seats
right now i currently own a GSR but would like to switch to the awsome turbo rotary engine.

The seats are very very very small, i call them butt buckets. My car came with the latches on the shock towers but the previous owner ditched the seats to make a place for the targa section to fit and b/c the back rest wouldn't fit with the rollbar. If you can get ahold of seats do it. They fold flat for cargo space as well.
I believe all US-spec Turbo II's are two seaters from the factory, however you can remove the bins and install the NA rear seats. One of my friends bought a TII that already had been converted... it really threw us off.

I have the rear seats in my GXL and they do well for small children, car seats and holding stuff. I like being able to whip crap back there and it doesn't roll around.
Honestly .. talk to your parents and dump the seat idea. They're useless, my ex was a very very little person .. in your wacky measurements i'd put her at 5'2" .. back seats are so small she could only just fit, and even then its uncomfortable.
So you get a sweet car, and then take up some of the only free space with a glorified counterweight?
Just my opinion but I took my back seats out and have not looked back.

Rear seats are standard here in Aus for SA, FB and FC/FD. They are cool but very cramped for someone probably over 14yrs old and taller than 5'7. However if I ever had 3 people in the back of the car I made the person in the back lie across the rear seat otherwise they would get cramp....
But really, you shouldn't buy a 2dr sports car if you want room for more than 2 people, especially not an rx7

ok, i have rear seats in my car... the peeps who have sat in them hve said it bad trying to get into them, once you are in your are fine.. yes itz a little tight but if somone wants a ride it what they gotta deal with
wow thats cool, thanks guys. yea i just want the rear seats cause you never know, one day you might want the rears for some reason. my parents wouldnt be too happy either cause its my daily driver and i go to school.
I installed red rear seats in my 87 TII for that same reason. You have the option of taking three passengers (if you need to), or you can throw all your crap in the buckets and put the seat down just like storage bins. the extra weight is maybe 20lbs MAX and they fold down just as if they were never there. I like them : )
Yea it's good to have rear seats only cause you might need them in the future. But at the same time it's exess weight. and it's not that comfortable when you have 2 big people sitting in the front 2 more in the back.
