I did on my old car....super simple! You shouldn't have any problems.

How do rear seats work in the FC? maybe for a kid I don't see anyone else sitting very comfortably in the back.

I also ask...why are you putting them in? I took mine out because of the fact that you CANNOT sit in the seat by any stretch of the imagination (and I'm a small guy 5'7"/140lbs). And they just weigh the car down some more. I personally like the more open look (lots more space inside the rear hatch w/out them in). But getting back to the question no it's really easy to put them in. The only "problem " is a little tab on the seat that you have to sit into a slot on the front before you bolt it down (you'll know it). Easy, just remember to hide any wires that are underneath it.

my wife and are are thinking about having a car and we don't want to sell the car
I love the open car look and that's why I stripped out my interior from the seats back but if I could get a childs seat back there than it would be a perfect compromise.
that's all
I would otherwise hate the idea of the rear seat

the seats are matched to every known interior color, so yes.
