Rear defroster issue

Today after getting my clock and interior lights to work by changing fuses, my rear defroster's "on" light won't turn off. which could mean it's on I guess.

When I press the button in, the light gets a bit brighter, then when pressed again, it dims slightly.

is this an idiot light of some type? any one know what could cause this>?

speaking of idiot lights, only my brake and door lights work!

-EDIT

Never mind, by continuing my search I found it could be the Power steering fuse, which it was.

So it WAS an idiot light saying "the fuse is blown idiot!".

Let this be a lesson to me , search harder!!!
