I did a search but couldn't come up with the answer.

When did the tail light on the rear above the plate come in on the rx7? is it only on s5?

The reason I ask is because on some models I have seen them and on others I have not (GT-Limited for example).

Wondering if this is another easy way to come to the conclusion of an rx7 model and what exactly it is.

 

All years of all the US models of the FC came with the 3rd brake light

 

I think in Aus S4's dont have it

 

They didn't in 86, but that is the only year I have an Aus sales brochure

 

Ok, thanks for the speedy reply anyways! I didnt realise in the US it was standard all the way through

 

US S4's had them, but JDM S4's did not.

 

This was because the "third brake light" was mandatory on all automobiles starting from 1986 in the U.S. as mandated by the D.O.T.
