Rear Carrier issues

So i have installed the DTSS eliminator bushing and replace my wheel bearings but when i was taking off the rear carrier i had to destroy the plastic washer on the top mounting bolt so that i could get the carrier off because the sleeves kept catching and this was the solution to the problem. but my question is do i absolutely have to put a new washer in there or not. And where would i get the washer or even if a steel washer will work. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Well, I'd start out by checking with Mazda.

But that's just me.

If you can't get the hub off, find a socket that fits around the sleeve and give it a few taps with the BFH.

Yeah i tried that and tried using a c clamp to get it the move the sleeve out but it didn't work. And I've already got it out cuz i just got impatient so my solution was to break the washer out of there to get more clearance and it worked just wondering if i need the washer there, thinking it makes it so that the mount doesn't move as much. I am no rocket scientist by any means though.
